EPL GAMEWEEK 20: KEY RESULTS

in voilk •  15 hours ago

I remember saying how excited I was about the numerous EPL football games we had, during this time back then in December, now I can't even keep up with the matches and result, xD. It's already game week twenty and we're midway into the season. Game week 20 was an absolute delight. Well, for me it was more frustration but there was so much premium entertainment and I quite enjoyed seeing the games. Now let's dive into the key results and how they shaped out.

Crystal Palace Vs Chelsea - 1-1

It was more frustration for Enzo Maresca and his team as they dropped points yet again, taking there winless run in the premier League to four games. The visitors had taken the lead early on in the first half thanks to a tidy finish from the main man, Cole Palmer, after a great work from Jadon Sancho but the eagles earned a deserving point thanks to a late equaliser from Mateta, after he was teed-up nicely by Eze for a tap in. It seemed one way traffic from the early on stages, as Chelsea looked like they would finally get back to winning ways, but as the game progressed, the odds changed in favour of Palace. A great game for neutrals.

Man City Vs West Ham - 4-1

It was. Good day for the Citizens as they earned a second straight league victory, being only the third time the reigning champions have been able to managed that all season. An Erling Haaland brace and a A tidy finish from Phil Foden, who scored only just his second goal of the season, was able to ensure Peps team took all three points. It's more worries for the hammers, aa they are winless in their last five EPL games, while conceding twelve goals in the process.

    Brighton Vs Arsenal - 1-1

The gunners were hoping to mount pressure on the league leader, Liverpool but they couldn't get past a stubborn Brighton. Arsenal thought they could see out an early Ethan Nwaneris goal, but midway into the second half, the seagulls earned a penalty through a controversial coming together of heads between Saliba and Joao Pedro in the eighteen yard box. A clear o foul in my opinion.

Liverpool Vs Manchester United - 2-2

It was the bigest game of the weekend that it was the best. The reds welcome the red devils to Anfield, that has been a fortress all season and all through our recent years. Lisandro Martinez opened up the scoring, a few minutes after resumption for the second help with a strikers finish. Seven minutes later, Cody Gakpo earned an equalizer for the reds and the game was on. Mo Salah thought he has the last day from the spot kick as he took his goal tally to eighteen in the premier League this season. United has the last laugh as a late Amad Diallo goals earned the red devils a much deserved point on the road. A thrilling game of football.
