We are all so different and yet similar in the way we feel and express things and the reasons for both. I may become annoyed about something you do not and may be excited about things you find boring. What's the same are the feelings when felt.
For the #weekend-engagement this week one of the topics is about feeling energized and annoyed which I liked because all of us feel those things from time to time; hopefully more of the energizing feelings and less of the annoyed ones though.
My garden energizes me and seems always to soak into my soul so deeply pushing out any bad feelings, worries problems along with it. When I am out there working, watering or wandering about enjoying it I feel more alive and in tune with myself - a connection to nature I suppose - and the feelings stay with me long after. I can actually feel energized just thinking about my garden.
Negativity in people annoys me. I don't mind if people wish to cloak themselves in negativity but when it reaches out to others, me and those I care for, I get very annoyed. I've always been a go-getter meaning I see what needs doing and do it rather than complain, avoid or shift blame. I don't like when people complain about their situations yet fail to do anything about it and drift away from such as those.
Travel energizes me, doing and planning it, thinking about it or looking back on my travel memories. Travel has been one of the things that has defined my life and I've had so many amazing experiences travelling the world; even some of the bad experiences turned into cherished memories despite being bad at the time they happened. I don't understand those who say they don't like travelling but I suppose each to their own.
Greed and selfishness annoys me and I don't relate to those who display these tendencies - I find them repellant and disgusting. I don't expect people to be saints or give up everything for others but we live in a society so leaned towards greed and selfishness and it's one of the reasons society is regressing in my opinion.
There's many things I find energizing, inspiring and uplifting and unfortunately things I also find annoying; most people are probably the same in that. I believe the key to it is to seek more avidly and reject the other so it affects life less and less.
