Digha Travel Guide: A Budget-Friendly Beach Escape

Just a few days ago, I visited Digha, the best place to see if you have a low budget and you have to experience beaches. I booked a Volvo bus from my home, which picked me up from my house and dropped me at Digha. We did not book a hotel because those hotels online were very expensive. Instead of booking a hotel online, book a hotel from local people. We got it at a very low rate. We went there for 3 days. On the first day, we went to the beach and saw the sunset there, and after that, we went to a good restaurant to eat Bengali food. Then at night, a very famous beach dance takes place there, so we also went there.

Digha is very famous because it is very cheap and gives us the same to same vibes as Goa. Most people come to Digha because of the sea resort and tourist spot located southwest of Calcutta. It is around 187 km from Kolkata it took about 4 hours to reach the destination and then we booked a toto besecally a electric 3 wheel car it is very cheap for 5 km it take only 10 rs per person( around 0.15 dollor ).

Digha is also famous because you can see the sunrise and sunset at Digha Sea Beach, and trust me, it is very beautiful.

So the history of Digha is that it was first known as Beerkul during Warren Hastings's time, then this changed the name and renamed it Brighton of the East, after independence, the chief minister renamed it and named it Digha, and then they developed Digha as a beach resort.

There are some precautions that we have to take Don't go to random hotels they will scam you. Instead, ad, do some Google and go to trusted hotels, and at night do not go on the beach or for a walk alone some locals will catch you and demand money and some other things.

There is an old temple also known as Shiva Temple 8 km from Digha. That temple is also very beautiful, and you can go there and have a peaceful time with God.

Lastly, I would like to say that four of us went on the trip and our total expenses were around ₹15000 to ₹20000. All in all, it was a very good experience at a very low cost. We exported all the digha and then we went to Mandarmoni. Then we also have it in the temple and all that we enjoyed very much if you want to come here it is a very good place to come.
