Paintings of the Canadian Rockies

With the somewhat smoky skies, some of the images almost look like paintings, adding a surreal feel to the experience. Of course if I had to choose, I would certainly prefer to have clear and smoke free skies, but it is what it is. I can’t control the weather. Just have to go with the flow you might say. I know the slightly diminished air quality does affect some people, myself, doesn’t bother me actually. If the weather needed to be perfect for every hike, then undoubtedly, I would probably miss out on half of the hikes. As you know (or maybe you don’t know), mountain weather can change on a dime, and the forecast is not always that reliable. Some of my most memorable hikes took place under sketchy weather conditions. Moral of the story is just go, irregardless of the forecast (obviously if there something extreme in the forecast, maybe hold back then).
