Hace unos días he recibido la solicitud para agregar cambios a un bot de discord, desarrollado en python, que he estado trabajando desde hace algún tiempo. Este bot es bastante sencillo por ahora, la función principal es poder verificar si un usuario de Hive vota o no a un testigo, puede ser un voto directo o a través de un proxy. Ya esto lo abarqué en un post anterior, te invito a leerlo aquí.
La solicitud de cambios la ha solicitado el usuario de GitHub NoGaming01, según la información que pude obtener es un adolescente de la India, que amablemente ha aportado unos nuevos comando para jugar con el bot y además algunas correcciones sobre el código. Luego de revisar todas las líneas de código he decido fusionarlo a la rama principal del repositorio y ya están disponibles para ser usado.
Esta es la maravilla del software libre y el código abierto, al compartir tu código existe en el mundo personas que están dispuestas a corregir y aportar a tu código, esto permite que algo muy pequeño pueda crecer con el aporte de la comunidad. Este es el primer paso y mi primera experiencia y por eso la comparto con tanta alegría.
