While avoiding the mud, I was also angling for light to capture the texture of the clouds above me. Last year at this spot, I took some amazing photos of the sun on the horizon, covered in Canadian wildfire smog. This time through, there wasn't much of the sun to photograph. You can sort of see where it set...but this one was more about the bluish clouds above me. I took this photograph with my Pixel 8 Pro Camera.
