Before we begin the report for August's rewards, let us share some news that happened in the meantime.
2nd Series of 2nd Edition VOCUP Token is SOLD
The last tokens of 2nd Edition Series "B" (2nd Series) were sold at the beginning of August (on August 7th, 2024).
Those 100 tokens, totaling 1,000 HIVE (Swap.HIVE), have been on the market for nine months since November 1st, 2023, and have been selling very slowly.
On November 1st, 2023, our account HP was 4,917 HIVE.
Nine months later, on August 7th, 2024, if we add that 1,000 HIVE for sold tokens of 2nd Edition Series "B," there should be 5,917 HIVE, but in fact, there were 7,273 HIVE (1,356 HIVE more) due to the power-ups that we did in the meantime, some other accumulated earnings, and as well because the account has never been powered down to pay you the monthly rewards.
By now, we have managed to do so by funding the rewards from some other income sources and activities, trying that way to enlarge HP as well, as much as possible, to be able to generate more curation revenue.
Issuing a New Series of Tokens
A new, 3rd Series (Series "C") of 2nd Edition VOCUP tokens was issued at the beginning of this month, on September 2nd, 2024, after sending rewards for the previous month (August 2024).
This Series also contains 100 tokens, and the price has remained the same at 10 HIVE (Swap.HIVE) per token.
Important Note
By issuing this new Series of tokens, Total Supply increased from 400 to 500 tokens.
As the percentage of your token holding is calculated by Total Supply, the percentage of your shares for the tokens in holding would decrease.
For example, if a token holder held 10 VOCUP tokens (before issuing the Series "C" when Total Supply was 400 tokens), their token share was 2.50%.
After issuing Series "C," when the Total Supply increased to 500 tokens, the same token holder with 10 VOCUP tokens now has 2.00% of the token share.
This will affect the rewards payment for September 2024, which we will send out at the beginning of the following month (October 2024), so please keep that in mind.
HivePUD for September 2024
To avoid, somewhat, the above scenario, meaning trying to keep the paid amount in HIVE for curation rewards collected in September at the same level or at least closest to the amount paid for curation rewards collected in August, despite the increase of the Total Supply, instead of 100 HIVE of our usual monthly power-up, this time, on September 1st, 2024 we powered-up 250 HIVE.
Rewards for August 2024
Hive curation rewards received/claimed during August 2024 were 61.500 HIVE.
90% of that amount, shared among VOCUP token holders, was 55.350 HIVE.
The snapshot of token holders was taken on August 31st, 2024, at midnight (UTC).
The rewards were sent to all the VOCUP token holders on September 2nd, 2024, according to their respective token holdings and in the amounts shown in the table below.
