Value Plan is a community-driven marketing and promotion initiative and to function as intended requires feedback. To create the 2025 general marketing strategy for Hive we need to outline our main goals. Our current goals are:
- Increase listings, integrations and partnerships
- Inspire investment in HIVE and HBD and increase their utility
- Onboarding and retention of long-term community members
Note please that these goals shifted over the last while as onboarding content creators was out of scope originally.

While we have discussed SWOT analysis in previous posts, we have not done so in its proper template but instead have opted for a discussion format. For the purpose of this strategy session, we are presenting our current take as project managers as an example.
Strengths:
- We have a great, easy to explain blockchain protocol and layered solutions
- Diverse, large volunteer force of community members
- We are becoming recognized in the crypto/blockchain spaces and are receiving invites
- Our initiatives share assets and reduce costs where possible
Weaknesses:
- There is no good onboarding journey for new Hivers
- We lack physical entities in key locations
- We do not have the one charismatic founder who is the face of Hive
Opportunities:
- Hive technology solutions are always in rapid development, which makes Hive attractive to promote
- Digital promotions remain barely tapped and are likely to be lucrative for Hive
- We are suitable for mainstream partners and end users
Threats:
- Global markets and rising costs of transportation and vendor services
- Geopolitical and climate threats in locations with physical iniatiatives
- Regulatory changes for cryptocurrencies
