Impressive and Magnificent Architecture of the Ubosot at Wat Don Thong, in Chonburi province, Thailand

Further to my previous two posts, I myself especially love the architecture of the Ubosot at Wat Don Thong, so I will emphasize this with many photos of the Ubosot in detail….

Ubosot or Phra Ubosot (ordination hall), we normally call it in short as “Bot”. It’s one of the significant buildings in the temple.

It acts as the main prayer room for many important rituals and it’s the place where monks get ordained as well.

In front of the main entrance, you will see a Buddha statue on a richly decorated pedestal.

There is also a magnificent Buddha statue in front of the back entrance as well.

The doors and the windows of the Bot are decorated beautifully.

In addition, there are awesome statues of Singha on both sides of each stair.

The Bot is surrounded by eight boundary stones called “Sema”. They are placed outside the Bot in a rectangular shape.

The wall that surrounds the Bot is marvelous with four entrance doors with gorgeous decoration at each side.

As you can see the architecture of the Bot is really impressive and magnificent.

So, I enjoyed walking around and taking many photos of them….
