Organizing your content like a pro

I read a post by KillerWot today which mentions how using the Hive blockchain to store information that can’t be censored or controlled is incredibly powerful, but also a bit inefficient. Content can sometimes be difficult to organize and find. This is true, but this is the nature of decentralized development. There are only small teams working on building solutions like INLEO, PeakD, VSC, SPK network, etc. And it just takes time to get better. In the meantime, I’ve found that a good way to get the most out of the HIVE ecosystem is to use a combination of company-owned solutions with decentralized ones.

Notion to organize my blog posts

This one is the center of my strategy to organize my content creation work. I’m able to filter and visualize my content in different ways, for example if I’d like to get a timeline view, I can do that

This will give me a nice, broad overview of what I’ve done and what I plan to do in the coming quarter.

If I’d like to take a look at my categories, I can use a table view

This way I can see what categories get the most engagement and perhaps take a look at what categories I’ve forgotten to write about in a while. I can also add columns to my table in case I'd like to add even more detail. For example, if I'd like to organize my posts by the rewards they've earned. Very useful.

And Finally, my social media posting calendar. Notion also has a calendar view, but my business uses monday.com. So I tend to use this tool since I can easily hand over content to my assistant who organizes my web2 channels like YouTube, Vimeo, etc.

There are a bunch of different tools you can combine to make your content easier to find and help you organize your writing, recording and publishing schedules. The most important thing is that you're already in the process of changing your mindset to a value-for-value mentality and this puts you in a small and privileged minority, so congratulations! and happy blogging!
