The people of Ukraine don't want to be (and will never be) part of Putin's Russia because they know Putin is a killer who uses hitmen to kill off his opposition, and Putin controls the media so Russian people only get to hear what Putin wants them to hear. The population of Russia are often referred to as dummy-heads or sheep-people because of this Putin media control. In effect, Russia is not a country as much as it is a land area captured by Putin and his KGB/FSB thugs watching over their heard of sheep.
Bored, Putin decided to invade Ukraine and has regretted the STUPID WAR ever since. Almost four-hundred-thousand (400,000) Russian soldiers have been killed by a determined and savage (big surprise to Putin who didn't realize they are not sheep-people) Ukrainian army defending their land supported by the collective WEST (that is many times bigger than Russia). As long as Russian soldiers are collectively dumb enough to take orders off Putin the STUPID WAR and the Russian soldier's slaughter will continue.
