Bruno

In a small, peaceful town, there was a peculiar dog named Bruno. Unlike other dogs who loved chasing sticks, playing fetch, or barking at strangers, Bruno had an unusual craving—he only ate cats.

This bizarre appetite of his wasn’t well-known at first. Bruno had been abandoned as a puppy and had to fend for himself, scavenging for food in the alleyways. One fateful day, he stumbled upon a stray cat, and in his desperation, he pounced. From that moment on, no regular dog food would satisfy him.

Bruno roamed the town silently, stealthily avoiding the humans who adored their feline companions. But as the number of missing cats grew, suspicion began to spread. Some said it was a ferocious predator, others believed in a supernatural curse. Nobody suspected sweet-looking Bruno.

One day, a young girl named Lily, who loved both cats and dogs, noticed Bruno lurking near the park. She had seen him several times, but always alone, and there was something strange about the way he watched her cat, Whiskers. One night, when Whiskers went missing, Lily decided to investigate.

Lily followed Bruno into the shadows. To her horror, she found him devouring another cat. Devastated, Lily couldn't believe her eyes. But she didn’t hate Bruno; instead, she pitied him. She realized Bruno was a victim of his own strange hunger, and no one had ever tried to help him.

Determined, Lily sought out the town’s old healer, who knew ancient remedies and animal magic. Together, they crafted a potion that might cure Bruno’s peculiar craving. With a heart full of hope, Lily offered it to Bruno in a bowl, disguised as milk. He hesitated but drank it.

The next morning, Bruno woke up in Lily's backyard. For the first time, his stomach growled not for cats, but for something ordinary—a bowl of kibble. His strange hunger was gone.

Bruno became Lily's loyal companion, and the cats of the town roamed freely once more. While the townsfolk never learned the full truth behind the mystery, they noticed that their furry friends were safe again. And Bruno? He found joy in simpler things, like belly rubs and chasing butterflies.

And so, the town returned to peace, with a dog who learned to love more than just cats.
