Some time ago I took a course on cell phone photography, don't laugh! I wanted to learn something new and instead of watching tutorials where I probably had the same info, I paid for a course to take pictures with my phone. But even though I didn't get a lot of info I always learned something and I was able to get little things, but what was really important was that in that little course I had as an activity to take pictures with the aim of capturing different sensations in the same space for those who look at the photo. The first obstacle I encountered was what I was taking pictures of, an object, a person, an animal, what was I taking pictures of to generate something different each time being the same thing?

I discarded several until I came to the conclusion, it had to be a place where things happen. Although in all places things happen, depending on which ones nothing happens. And when I thought that, it was the trigger to realize that in fact everything happens in those places where "nothing happens", you just have to learn to look! Then I knew where I had to go, I just had to choose which place to photograph.

There, I had found it, the train tracks. I don't know why but the roads, the train tracks attract me. When I see a photo and there are tracks I stare at them and my mind runs away. I think it will imagine where it takes you or where I want to go. Whenever I look at a train track I stare at the edges of it. If there are plants debris, union graffiti, people, dirt if there is the sun if it is leaving. That's what it was, the train tracks!

And then I got to some that are close to my house and I stopped in different places to see where I liked more or felt more comfortable, once I found the place that I liked the most I started testing. I didn't like anything, I felt it was all bad, that's when I thought I'm getting it all wrong, I don't like this and I left. I did 2 blocks and it came to my head many times it is more important what we manage to capture than all the technicality that we can have, I came back without knowing what I was going to look for.

So I decided to take pictures and stop thinking. Even if I made a mistake and nothing good came out of it, at least I was going to learn so the result would always be positive. I took all that sequence of photos, it was in the morning, it was at noon, in the afternoon and I stayed until the evening. I took a series of these photos and I took them to you in the same order or similar to the one you are looking at. The quality of my photos is crap. The work was not complete, but I managed to see things with my little cell phone camera that gave me great pleasure to see. Not because of any compliments but because I found what I had been asked to look for and I felt I could capture it with the camera.

Hace un tiempo hice un curso de fotografía con celular, ¡ya no se rian! quería aprender algo nuevo y en vez de mirar tutoriales en donde probablemente estaba la misma info, pague un curso para tomar fotos con mi teléfono. Pero aunque no saque mucha info siempre algo se aprende y pequeñas cositas pude sacar, pero lo verdaderamente importante fue que en ese pequeño curso que tuve como actividad sacar fotos con la consigna de poder captar de un mismo espacio diferentes sensaciones para quien mire la foto. El primer obstáculo que me encontré fue a que le sacaba fotos, un objeto, una persona, un animal, a que le sacaba fotos para generar algo diferente en cada ocasión siendo lo mismo?
Fui descartando varias hasta que llegue a la conclusión, tenía que ser un lugar un lugar en donde pasen cosas. Aunque en todos los lugares pasan cosas, dependiendo cuales algunos no pasa nada. Y cuando pensé eso, fue el disparador para darme cuenta que en realidad pasa de todo en esos lugares en donde "no pasa nada", solo que hay que aprender a mirar! Entonces ya sabía para dónde tenía que ir solo me quedaba elegir que lugar fotografiar.
Listo ya lo había encontrado, las vías del tren. No se porque pero los caminos, las vías tren me atraen. Cuando veo una fotos y hay caminos me quedo mirando y mi mente se escapa. Yo creo que se va a imaginar para donde te lleva o donde quiero ir. Siempre que observó la vía de un tren me quedo mirando sus márgenes que hay en ellos. Si hay plantas escombros, pintadas sindicalistas, gente, mugre si está el sol si se está yendo. Era eso, las vías del tren!
Y entonces llegué a unas que están cerca de mi casa y me paré en diferentes lugares para ver donde me gustaba más o me sentía más cómodo, una vez que encontré el lugar que más me gustó empecé a hacer pruebas. Nada me gustaba todo sentía que era porqueria que estaba mal, ahí fue cuando pensé me está saliendo todo mal no me gusta esto y me fui. Hice 2 cuadras y se me vino a la cabeza muchas veces es más importante lo que logramos captar que todo el tecnicismo que podamos tener, volví sin saber que iba a buscar.
Y me propuse entonces sacar fotos y dejar de pensar. Equivocandome aunque no salga nada bueno, al menos iba a aprender entonces el resultado siempre iba a ser positivo. Saqué toda esa secuencia de fotos, fue a la mañana, fue al mediodía a la tarde y me quedé hasta la noche. Saque una serie de estas fotos y se las lleve ordenadas de una forma igual o parecida a esta que están viendo. La calidad de mis fotos es una porqueria. El trabajo no estaba completo, pero logré ver cosas con mi pequeña cámara de celular que me dieron gran placer al verlas. No por alguna felicitación sino porque encontré lo que me habían pedido que busque y sentí que lo pude captar con la cámara.
