A cryptid is an animal that cryptozoologists believe may exist somewhere in the wild, but whose present existence is disputed or unsubstantiated by science. xD
Cryptozoology is a pseudoscience, which means that they are things some people believe are scientific or factual but are incompatible with the scientific method.
In the case of cryptids, I'm a see it to believe it type of person, and all I've seen so far is a whole lotta nuthin'.
