    Afternoon everyone….

You all know how much I like the Scottsdale Mint products.

Well today I’m going to share a coin produced by them for an Eastern Caribbean series. It’s a 2019 Grenada coin.

Here is some info on it from their website….

2019 1 oz Silver Grenada Diving Paradise
Scottsdale Mint, in partnership with the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB), is returning for the second annual release schedule of the extremely popular EC8 8-coin series, featuring the eight Eastern Caribbean Island nation members. Included are Antigua & Barbuda, Saint Kitts & Nevis, Commonwealth of Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, Anguilla, Saint Vincent & the Grenadines, and Saint Lucia. The second new edition to release is this 2019 Silver 1 oz St. Kitts & Nevis Brown Pelican.
Each of the first series 2018 8-coin editions quickly became best-sellers, and maintained strong series popularity throughout the full release cycle. Now, with this second 2019 release, the series is well underway! We are experiencing even greater response to each edition than in 2018.
    Grenada ‑ Diving Paradise!
The very attractive obverse will be common to all eight EC8 2019 releases. The inset features the Raphael Maklouf effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Distinctive laurels of evergreen shrubs frame the portrait on either side, nearly filling the center inset. A narrow band encircles the rim, which includes the inscriptions, "EASTERN CARIBBEAN CENTRAL BANK" at the top, and "1 oz .999 SILVER . QUEEN ELIZABETH II . 2 DOLLARS" at the bottom rim.
This fresh, new 2019 reverse design captures a phenomenal scuba scene! As described by the mint, "The 2019 ECCB Grenada Diving Paradise 1 oz Silver and 1 oz Gold coins depict a lone scuba diver encircled by a massive school of rainbow runners ‑ fish known for subtropical migrations through the West Indies. Grenada is most often described as a scuba diver’s paradise ‑ it is blessed with an abundance of shipwrecks, reefs, walls, and underwater sculpture parks. These features allure divers interested in immersing themselves within large schools of pelagic fish species including jack, creole wrasse, and rainbow runners."
Grenada ‑ Pristine Beaches, Culture, and Spice!
Grenada is one of the finest and most popular tourist destinations in the Eastern Caribbean. Whether your interests include the pristine white sand beaches or the stunningly beautiful coral reefs perfect for scuba exploration, the water recreation opportunities are amazing! The centuries old historical landmarks and wonderful cultural events also provide insight into the mix of cultures of these warm and gracious islanders that make Grenada such a special place. Grenada is not only referred to as the Spice Isle of the Caribbean because of its centuries of international spice trade (primarily nutmeg). It can also be said that a week spent on this island can even bring a bit of spice back into your life!
