When talking about emissions and climate change, we all focus mostly on transportation, whether maritime, land or air, or on emissions from large industries, but there are other human activities that also considerably affect the environment, one of them is concrete. which we have already talked about before and another is the manufacture of asphalt.
Al hablar de emisiones y de cambio climático todos nos enfocamos mayormente en el transporte ya sea marítimo, terrestre o aéreo o en las emisiones de las grandes industrias pero existen otras actividades humanas que también afectan considerablemente al medio ambiente, uno de ellos es el hormigón del que ya hemos hablado alguna vez y otro es la fabricación de asfalto.
Mostly used in road construction, in 2023 nearly one hundred and forty million tons of asphalt were manufactured. Although there have already been several reforms in its manufacturing, such as the use of 100% recycled asphalt, which have reduced emissions, they have now proposed to manufacture asphalt with zero emissions.
Utilizando mayormente en la construcción de carreteras, en el año 2023 se fabricaron cerca de ciento cuarenta millones de toneladas de asfalto. A pesar que ya se han producido varias reformas en su fabricación como el aprovechamiento del 100% de asfalto reciclado que han reducido las emisiones, ahora se han propuesto conseguir fabricar asfalto con cero emisiones.

The system is based on the intelligent control that incorporates the hydrogen burner and that by coordinating the hardware and software of the feeding systems, the pressure regulation and the drying section, they manage to manufacture the asphalt without producing emissions using different types of fuels simultaneously without stopping production.

This technology is not only designed for new facilities but can also be applied to existing asphalt manufacturing plants, allowing them to move closer to zero-emission asphalt manufacturing.

Esta tecnología no solo está diseñada para las nuevas instalaciones sino que también puede aplicarse a las plantas ya existentes de fabricación de asfalto que les permitirá ir acercándose a la fabricación de asfalto sin emisiones.
Con todo esto conseguiremos dar una vuelta de tuerca más en el desarrollo sostenible de tanta tecnología que se está desarrollando en las últimas décadas.
