but at the same time, when you submit to production it will be reduced automatically, so it will never be that big
prebuilding in expo brings that android and ios folder right?
wouldn't that mean the expo doesn't help you anymore?
no o, in the build steps for the apk, they run that prebuild in the cloud, but when you do it locally, expo will just skip that step in the build process
If your intention for pre building is just to reduce size..then just install expo-build-properties then in ur app.json file, in plugins array add useLegacyPackaging there..no need to pre build for that
the only thing is don’t be changing things you don’t understand there, if not things with break, that’s just the catch
that’s a very good option too, didn’t think of that aspect
It's still managed..but u have access to those folders to install native packages
Omo!! People like prebuild ehn 😂😂
Expo will still run pre build..cuz when u push it to eas...android and iOS folder do not get pushed...just like node modules
, i'm coming from cli but in this expo i no wan dey see ios and android, let expo take my sorrows away😂
so no need for pod install and the rest after prebuilding?
Not everyone knows about working with building properties...
No..expo will manage that
You learnt what?
U go surprise say the apps wey him go bring probably won't involve anything complex
i no even get any power for unnecessary argument this morning 😂
make him just point me to anyone
Play Store and some apk... let me look for examples
u don't deploy apps to play store for one
The one available on playstore won’t be that big
but this una expo , mb is big o
No, I said apks of mb
