For today's shots we got here scenes on our climb to Mount Pulag. The hike to the summit of Mount Pulag in Kabayan, Benguet began at 2:00 AM, under the cover of darkness our group of hikers equipped with headlamps, flashlights and warm clothing set off on the challenging five-hour trek. The initial ascent was steep, muddy and rugged with rocky terrain and dense foliage that made every step a test of endurance.
As we climbed higher, the air grew colder and the wind began to pick up, but our determination and excitement propelled us forward. As the hours passed, the first hints of dawn began to creep over the horizon.
The scenery shifted from dense forest to grassy slopes, with the occasional tree standing sentinel against the wind. Finally, after five hours of relentless climbing, we reached the summit of Mount Pulag but our triumph was short-lived as the fog and rain rolled in, shrouding the peak in a damp and chilly mist.
The fog was so thick that we could barely see a few feet in front of us and the rain stung our faces but we didn't let it dampen our spirits. We huddled together, taking photos and celebrating our achievement despite the inclement weather. The experience was exhilarating and humbling which is a reminder of the power and unpredictability of nature.
As we began our descent, the fog and rain slowly cleared, revealing glimpses of the stunning scenery below and we knew that this was an adventure we would never forget. The memory of our cold and foggy summit experience would stay with us forever.
