    Hi There!

Continuation of a series, introduction You can find here:
    https://peakd.com/photography/@photovisions/iceland-from-the-archives-1-preparations-for-the-travel

After the plane touched the ground on Keflavik Airport on Iceland, we got an informations that we will be tested against Covid before we can leave the airport...

I totally didn't know about that procedure so I was a bit afraid as I never done it before and even didn't know the details what and how...

We had to fill up a lot of documents and statements, one of them was my accommodation address on Iceland... but my only place to sleep was a tent on a car roof ;)... so I had to give the address of car rental company.

After the test and all the formal stuff we can finally leave from the airport.

In a short version - when I finally got to my car and head towards the nearest big store to make a shopping for the trip - I felt like I leave all the stress behind me.

I drove south from the airport to check out the nearest towns and beaches.

Here are the few first shots I took:

I stopped in a random place just to feel the air, to touch the lava fields, to hear the sounds and smell the Icelandic nature... I was totally impressed - everything was different then what I know.

Old lava field was covered by colorful lupins and other flowers, the air had a original smell of sulfur, burned rocks, flower scent and sea water... Amazing!

I head towards the coast on the south - to the place known as Valahnúkamöl.

It is a coastline with nice cliffs and big sea stacks. Looked great for the biginning of my trip :D. I was already pleased by such views...

Near the coast we can see a tall lighthouse - Reykjanes Lighthouse.

Very beautiful building - typical large lighthouse, the one I can imagine when someone is talking about 'lighthouse'.. I hope You know what I mean - it have a typical form and architecture of a lighthouse ;).

I was wandering around exploring all the stuff and places I could reach, I found some nice compositions on the way as well as amazing species of islandic flora...
