Here you can see pictures of cherry laurel which is also known under the scientific name Prunus laurocerasus and in some places it is an invasive neophyte. Invasive plants are also plants that have been imported from other areas and have established themselves in nature and are able to multiply independently and thus pose a danger to native plants and some of them have been introduced with the discovery of new continents. The ever-growing trade of plants ensures that more and more exotic plants find their way to other areas and often this happens unconsciously or consciously due to the economy and in the trade you always come across invasive plants. This cherry laurel is a popular hedge plant and therefore it is often found in gardens and many do not even know that it is an invasive species which is also poisonous and those who have children or pets should also take this into account. Neotypes are not always a danger and if you should have already planted an invasive species, you should make sure that it grows in areas or gardens that are located at a distance from the wild like forests and it cannot spread outside the garden. If you live in an area where it can quickly leave the garden, you should play with the idea of removing or cutting them back and no longer planting new invasive plants and resorting to native plants. By cutting back, the distribution can be severely restricted and it is important not to dispose of the waste outdoors and to look for an isolated place where there can be no complications when it comes to a new spread. Special attention should be paid to nature reserves where invasive plants can become a particularly huge danger and you always have to differ and some invasive plants can also be of great benefit and have learned to adapt and even complement each other with native plants.
