Croatia #11 - KRKA - Jungle with Waterfalls

in photofeed •  24 days ago

    Hi Friends!

I am back after a longer while... in this gallery alle the shots You can watch also in my video from KRKA I posted HERE

KRKA National Park and especially this spot called Skradinski Buk is an amazing place to visit but I truly recommend such visit before or after the main summer season to avoid extreme traffic on the paths and long queues to the viewpoints.

The bridges and path is quite narrow in some points so I believe it is a huge problem during the summer season to walk there and even impossible to photograph...

River KRKA here has amazing look, generate multiple falls, flowing through a dense forest and bushy areas, creating some smaller ponds on the way, full of fish which can be easily visible through crystal clear water.

The main attraction on the path is the final view towards the biggest waterfalls - Skradinski Buk.

Few years ago it was possible to swim there but they forbidden swimming to safe the natural look of the place - a very good decision :).

Whole path around the river has 3,5 km and is easy to walk. In the best spots we can find larger viewing points but they are crowded most of the time.
We were there in May and it was already a lot of people everywhere.

Start of the footpath can be reached from a parking area by Park Tour buses which are going up and down the steep road all day. The bus price is included in the price of entrance fee to the Park.
We can also go there by feet, using a shortcut through the woods - quite steep but short walk down the hill...

These photographs showing only one spot we have visited in the KRKA National Park - whole area is much larger and offers many other interesting spots but that day we managed to see only this one which is the most famous and the most touristic place.

I hope You enjoyed the gallery and post.

Thanks for watching and supporting and UNTIL THE NEXT ONE!

    CHEERS!
