I have given up on being perfect, but there is a lot of wisdom in this quote from Vince Lombardi. Why is that? Even though we cannot be perfect, we should still try to be the best version of ourselves. And as we walk that path and aim for being better and better, we will also reach excellence.
For example, I want to be a better version of myself. As a result, I picked up some garbage outside our house (that wasn't ours) this morning. I didn't want to, but I though it would be the right thing to do. And guess what, when you continously do the right thing, it becomes a habit, and it will turn you into something better. I will never become perfect, but I do believe I might catch excellence here and there (even though I am far away from that as well).
It is interesting to notice how you have those people who are just great at getting things done. They find tasks and do them immediately, instead of eating themselves up on the inside for not doing them.
This is a constant challenge for me, but I feel so much better on those days where I actually just go ahead and do things, instead of postponing.
It's a brand new day with new opportunities, and I want to do my best at getting the most from this day. I am cheering for you as well in the process!
