Other Niche Communities Curation Report #1627

    OCD's support is expanding!

Hello everyone! This is the 1627th compilation post of OCD's latest curation efforts. It has been known that OCD has been supporting leading niche communities under its Community Incubation Program. However, there are still a lot of other niche communities not supported by OCD. This curation initiative will help in supporting those communities.

This newest curation effort aims to encourage authors to post in appropriate communities even if those communities are not under the incubation program. This will also encourage users to explore more into the different communities in Hive.

    How this Works

OCD curators and community leaders will find posts from other niche communities and recommend them for an upvote. Unlike those communities in the incubation program where curation is focused, this curation initiative is spread out. This will help find undervalued posts from smaller communities that deserve support.

This will highlight both the author and the community where the post is located. This way, smaller niche communities can focus on growing their subscribers and increasing the engagements within their respective communities. A small boost goes a long way.

Speaking of boost, here are the curated posts for this batch:

Micro Balcony Garden Journal 2024 - May 19 / マイクロバルコニーの記録

This weekend has seen a mix of rain, clouds, and sunshine. As we move into late May, the threat of late frost is gone, so I started planting summer vegetables. I planted tomatoes, basil, Malabar spinach, chilies, and zucchini. Below is a photo of Malabar spinach, which is great for summer dishes such as curry, bowls, and miso soup.

A random outing turns random nature walk.

And those same geese from earlier.

It's was a very pleasant day out. Other than my toe giving me tons of pain to deal with on the way it was pretty nice.

I honestly don't get out enough.

I did capture the sounds of the area, all the birds were very active.

    Gifting without compulsion

Being from the Nupe tribe here in Nigeria, we are known primarily for being respectful, as our culture demands we bend our knees to greet. Another attribute of my tribe is being considerate of others, including strangers. I remember visiting the village in 2017, and I had more than five different dishes brought to me for consumption by relatives of my parents. Each wanted us to eat one of their dishes, and we ended up choosing just one while calling children lurking about to come eat the remaining.

Iniciativa Amor Inmaculado/Madre por generaciones (Esp/Eng)

My mother is 88 years old and a beautiful old lady. She is sitting in her rocking chair knitting and as she does, so I watch her and wonder what she is thinking about?, what memories come to her mind, as her still nimble hands grasp the thread with the needle, and the needle moves in and out in a constant motion.

    🕸️🕷️Little Spider / Pequeña Arañita 🕸️🕷️ ING-ESP

Hello, guys of this beautiful community. I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. Today I want to show you how I made a spider out of recycled copper wire, I previously made a mini bonsai with this material and I thought it would be interesting to continue working with it. I hope you can enjoy the step by step tutorial and put it into practice if you are up for it. Let's start with the tutorial.

Going back in time 45 years (¨Daily Blog¨)

Today, and like every Sunday, I am happy to be in this beautiful ¨Daily BlogCommunity¨: which gives us the opportunity to share what we do, or what our afternoon is like on any given day. These are the things I love about #hive, that there are different communities at our disposal where we can share and host our writings of the things we love to do or write, and the best of all, is that there are people who appreciate what you write , and they let you know through the comments, something extremely important in a social network, especially if you like interacting with people, which reminds me, another thing that makes me love our company, and makes it live in our social network, the quality and warmth of the people who navigate daily in this wide sea of our company.

Funk Blues Solo - LTD with Les Paul Custom pickups!

A nice funky blues solo for this Sunday's jam! Also, this is the first jam on my LTD Les Paul! Yes, a few weeks ago I changed the Seymour Duncan pickups from my LTD over to my Les Paul Custom, and both sound great.

Now I have cranked this one up with some gain, I really like how it sounds! This is a pretty cheap guitar but I love how I have made it my own :) I will keep it forever :) I hope!

I run through the pickups in this video, showing first the bridge and then neck pickup :) it sounds really cool!:)

I will be doing some more videos with this LTD for sure :) in fact, I made another one over this same jam track... but there is a little change coming... stay tuned :)

Thanks again to 'MJsBackingTracks' for the track! I'm jamming over these all the time :)

    Crafts everywhere

In Varadero, Cuba's most famous seaside resort, there are countless craft fairs. You can find them along the main street, in hotels, recreational centers and even on the beach.

Every few hundred meters there is a space dedicated to the sale of these items. In each of them you can find the same designs made with the same materials, there is not much variety.

    Bake banana rice flour bread/バナナ米粉パンを焼く/[ENG/JPN]

As I mentioned at the time of this article, rice flour does not knead to form gluten like wheat flour does, so you need to mix in something sticky to hold the dough together. In this case, I used a smooth mixture of tofu.

This time I used bananas to shape the dough and baked the rice flour bread.
I have been planning to do this for a long time but never quite got around to it, so I'm glad I finally got around to posting it.
