Would you start your year with some great new habits? It might not be easy, but if you want to succeed with your great habits, then it will be much easier if you actually find activities and habits that bring you joy.
Of course, if you need to exercise, it might be that you will have a hard time always being happy about such an activities, but it will for sure be easier if you find a way of exercising that bring you joy. For example, if you want to exercise, it might be that you will hate running or jogging, but you will enjoy playing football with friends for a couple of hours weekly. Or maybe you don't like to do push-ups, but you would happily do some zumba or sports that train your body, while also increasing your heart-rate and strengthening your muscles.
So yes, it is important to have some goals for the new year, but you will be much more likely to succeed in your tasks if you pack them into such paper that makes it easier and more joyful to accomplish the tasks.
