New Gidget

I finally got a new phone. Well, a new used phone. Something that has been sorely needed for years honestly. Ended up getting a factory refurbished plain Samsung S20 (as in no default carrier) so no pre-installed carrier garbage, although there was plenty of installed garbage to get rid of, without rooting it and chancing bricking a brand new phone for me (I'll root it later)

    Yes, father, as you wish...

Compared to the old A13 I was using for the last few years, this thing is amazing. I couldn't even imagine using a brand new, brand new phone.

So, what's the first thing I do to it? Nerd it out of course. 🤓

    Termux

The font is small, but I had to make it fit the whole fetch into the window. I don't work with that small a font. It would make my eyes bleed. But now I have a completely usable linux terminal with me at all times without needing to pull out my tiny little laptop (which is also great).

I ported all my apps over and got signed into everything finally, and it's barely a quarter filled, my old phone was maxed, I had to remove something if I wanted to add something else, it sucked.

Feels good to be part of this decade.

    As usual,
