I was hanging out with friends by English Bay one beautiful winter afternoon. These breaks from the rain are a matter of survival in the face of the season. People complain that it's cold as though they are unaware that they live in Canada and that what they feel is not actual freezing temperatures. It is their way of noticing that they have less energy to accomplish things due to shorter days, respiratory illness and humidity induced articular inflammation. It's cold, this is how they summarize their general discomfort every winter. Oh people, how charmingly harmless they are when taken one at a time.
Often, as I arrive at any particular destination, say, a fitness class I am about to teach, I get praised as I unload my waterproof gear, for cycling in the rain. Indeed, facing the elements increases my resilience beyond that of the common of mortals in these lands towered by beautiful mountains and invaded by ugly tankers.
I could use the latest AI feature on my Android to make them disappear but why would I want to give you a false sense of pristine Nature that is so far from reality?
This is my friend Simba, where my brain though artistic is finite, his is expansive and knows no limits. I always learn a lot when I am around him, mostly because of his boundless curiosity which makes me think that I should ask myself more questions.
Forever and Always you can read on the statues named A-Maze-Ing laughter by the artist who made them, Yue Minjun. Although cartoonish in proportion, the metal is organized in an elegant patchwork of mesmerizingly subtle anatomical detail and they are beyond iconic at this point. It is interesting to notice their bodies when you draw the human figure where there can be a lot of beauty.
Simba and KG are looking sharp on this photo as we are living our best lives together.
The friendship bracelets are a part of the Tailor Swift storm that has only now just subsided. I have never witnessed a concert be so overwhelmingly cultural, almost dwarfing Andy Warhol's contribution to art history. It was entertaining to see all the fans dressed to the nines, taking selfies at the different installations. A great way to enhance their experience and fun to watch.
I feel so grateful to have a blog where I can share these photos of the exquisite parks around me, especially these special sections of Stanley Park. It is so peaceful and well integrated in the landscape, with the taller trees in the back. I wish I could say I come here and meditate but I was pretty much discovering this peaceful little haven.
This venue looks really cool from the outside, maybe I should do a dance video in front of it. So many ideas, so little time.
I just think the heart cut-outs in the balcony are supremely charming I mean look at them. How could you not like them?
I mean come on!
Like it's really giving me life right now. Sorry for writing like a teenager there are just times where it's appropriate to geek out about adorable architectural features. There is a time and a place, and they are now.
Yes, we have now built up an appetite, it's time for sushi!
