Today I want to tell you about a new challenge. It turns out that I was recently proposed a business. And I, who am always willing to listen to new proposals, decided to listen. The proposal was to be a contractor for a building that had been left vacant since the building manager had passed away. Since they decided not to have any more and to hire a cleaning company, they were left with that apartment which they decided to fix up and rent. One of the owners of the building and participant of the administration of the building said that if that was done he would rent it as an office, so they started working on the matter and asked the relevant parties to take care of the case looking for quotes.
That's where I come in. I don't know anything about repairs or repairs, but I found myself to be a very decisive person in most of the challenges that life and I have encountered. So since they know about this ability I have, they offered me if I wanted to do it. The truth is that I went to see the apartment to be conditioned and I found the series of photos that I am showing you, which are not at all pleasant, but it is worth showing them because obviously I want to show you the result.
When I arrive I find a destroyed one room apartment with many things to do wet, broken pipes, take out and change doors, enduro the whole apartment, paint it, also do the same with the floor, assemble the new kitchen, that is, take out the old stove, put anafes, change the sink and make a new countertop complete and integrated with shelves and doors below. Also make all the new electricity in the apartment and in the bathroom put a new backpack in front of the sink and shower also because they asked for it.
In short, they asked me to dynamite it and do it all over again. Actually it was already dynamited. They asked me to recover what I could from it. As soon as I saw that disaster I took out the meter and started to take measurements of everything and after that I started to weigh options to leave this place in conditions to be inhabited as soon as possible, who I had to contact to ask for a budget and if they want the material work and with respect to kitchen and bathroom, the best way to do it to optimize those small spaces and under the premise that was: to do it as cheap as possible.
This week with costs and labor on all this work to do I will give you a quotation for the work. In these days they will be confirming the work and I estimate that in about 1 month we will have the result of the work and in the middle I will be showing you the transformation of this place that today is quite ugly but that will be transformed into a very nice office and my first work as a contractor.
I must admit that I loved the challenge from the very beginning and although I don't know technically almost anything about what has to be done, I have many friends and acquaintances with whom I relate and with whom I will be working. I just have the ability to bring them together for the idea I have of how to put it to good use.
I hope to have news by the end of this week and that the work starts as soon as possible so that when I go on my trip it is already underway and I can follow it from there.
Hoy les quiero contar sobre un nuevo desafío. Resulta que hace poco me propusieron un negocio. Y yo que siempre soy materia dispuesta para escuchar nuevas propuestas decidí escuchar. La propuesta trataba ser contratista para un edificio que les había quedado el edificio libre desde que el encargado había fallecido. Cómo decidieron no tener más y contratar empresa de limpieza les quedaba ese departamento el cual definieron poner a punto y alquilar. Uno de los propietarios del edificio y participante de la administración del mismo dijo que el si se hacía eso lo alquilaba como oficina entonces pusieron marcha en el asunto y le pidieron a las partes pertinentes que se ocupen del caso buscando presupuestos.
En ese momento es que entro yo en acción. Que no se nada sobre reparaciones o refacciones, pero me descubrí una persona muy resolutiva en la mayoría de los desafíos con los que la vida y yo nos hemos topado. Entonces como saben de esta capacidad que tengo me ofrecieron si lo quería hacer. Lo cierto es que fui a ver el departamento a acondicionar y me encontré con la serie de fotos que les estoy mostrando, que no son para nada agradables, pero que cabe mostrarlas porque obviamente quiero mostrarles el resultado.
Cuando llego me encuentro con un monoambiente destrozado con muchas cosas por hacer húmedas, caños rotos, sacar y cambiar puertas, enduir todo el departamento, pintarlo, también hacer lo mismo con el piso, armar la cocina nueva, osea, sacar cocina vieja poner anafes, cambiar bacha y hacer una mesada nueva completa e integrada con estantes y puertas abajo. También hacer toda la electricidad nueva del departamento y en el baño poner una mochila nueva por delante lavamanos y ducha también por que así lo pidieron.
En definitiva me pidieron que lo dinamite y lo haga todo de nuevo. En realidad ya estaba dinamitado. Me pidieron que recupere lo que pueda de eso. Ni bien vi ese desastre saque el metro me puse a tomar medidas de todo y despues de eso empece a pesar opciones para dejar este lugar en condiciones para ser habitado lo más rápido posible, en quienes tenía que contactar para pedirles presupuesto y si quieren el trabajo materiales y con respecto a cocina y baño, la mejor manera de hacerlo para optimizar esos pequeños espacios y bajo la premisa que era: hacerlo lo mas barato posible.
Esta semana con costos y mano de obra sobre todo este trabajo para hacer les pase una cotización por el trabajo. En estos días me van a estar confirmando el trabajo y calculo que en 1 mes aproximadamente vamos a tener el resultado del trabajo y en el medio les voy a ir mostrando la transformación de este lugar que hoy es bastante feo pero que se va a transformar en una oficina muy linda y en mi primer obra como contratista.
Debo reconocer que el desafío me encanto desde el momento cero y aunque no sé técnicamente de casi nada de lo que hay que hacer, tengo muchas personas amigas y conocidas con las cuales me relaciono y con las que voy a trabajar. Yo solamente tengo la capacidad de unirlas para la idea que tengo de como ponerlo a punto para ser bien usado.
Espero a finales de esta semana tener novedades y que la obra empiece cuanto antes así cuando me voy de viaje ya está encaminada y puedo seguirla desde allá.
