On Sundays, We Sharpen The Saw

The chili in the microwave finished warming up. I think I spent the whole day warming up myself, so I can't complain.

I run into this problem again and again. I want to post something online, so thirty minutes from my self-imposed deadline, I sit at my desk and tap the source. In truth, I had revelations all day. I didn't have a pen or pull out my phone to take note.

One thought I had today centers on enjoyment. I was worried. I think this game I spent a lot of time playing before isn't scratching that itch, like my buddy says. It might be true.

It's been almost 10 years. I did the math the other day, it comes out to 182 days. One hundred eighty-two 24-hour days, I spent playing a computer game. I think about how much time that is, just to myself to see something related on Twitter.

The synchronicity is uncanny. Some account says 4000 weeks is a crazy way to frame a lifespan. Then, when I convert 182 days into 26 weeks, my excuses about having time begin to dwindle.

To the point of fun with the game, I realized I don't have goals in it anymore. It came from a conversation about competitive gameplay. I don't play it much. No coincidence, I'm not aiming for a rank anymore either. I'm not working on my aim.

I write off games with my own bias and self-fulfilling prophecies.

I was worried about outcomes, but I repeat it enough to appreciate, I should concern myself with the process. A focus on the process of creativity could come in handy for building my community, the idea comes like flipping on a light switch.

In a way, I don't want to quit playing the game. I love "the game". It might be a literal one, like the multiplayer ones online. It's also community building in crypto, speculation on digital assets. I love the game of getting fit and feeling right. Today I played a few levels in spring cleaning, despite myself.

    It was a great day.
