I spent most of the day watching the Inaugural festivities and the swearing in of President Donald Trump. I started in the morning before the arrival of President Biden and the (soon to not be) First Lady, and continued watching until the Jan 6th pardons and the signing of the numerous executive orders behind the Resolute Desk.
That's when I realized this dude is serious now.
He'd been standing and walking all day long, and I was tired myself. That man has an amazing amount of stamina for a 78-year-old man, as he even had time to dance with his own First Lady as well.
I hope he got a good rest.
It looks like his signing hand is going to be busy, as he wasn't joking about those executive orders which were piled up on his desk. However, I'm sure he's going to be challenged in court on some of those decisions including what is shaping up to be Travel Ban II.
The Mt. McKinley thing I'm backing, as I was never down with Obama's name change. And lemme tell ya, If he can do anything about immigration, I'm all for it. My community (and many other in this half of the state) has been DEVASTATED by the arrival of violent newcomers who don't seem to hold to any moral values.
We're not getting the Albert Einstein's or the Elon Musk's being shipped to our town.
We're getting exactly what Trump described when he first ran for President, tatted up gang members, violent criminals, and popping-out-a-baby-every-nine-months young mamas, who need a spreadsheet to remember which kid belongs to which daddy (oh, and anybody who wants to challenge me on this can kindly fuck off.
We've lost too many good people here at the hands of these saintly "migrants" that the few decent people that are left have had quite enough already).
We're not getting tech investors, engineers, or people with computer science degrees. Instead we're getting barely literate, uneducated, always-angry, migrants from a mach culture steeped in violence, where it's considered "manly" to be violent towards their women in order to show them whos boss.
These are they type of people who will rob you, then shoot you anyway even if you complied and gave them all your money. The type that mug frail senior citizens and then sucker-punch them afterwards.
Getting the picture now?
Twice I've heard gunshots nearby this past week when I was writing my posts. The violence here is one of the reasons that I (and the other Americans here) don't go out in the evening's and try to wrap up any business during daylight hours.
It's that bad.
So yeah, we'd be THRILLED for Trump to get on that, and if it means sending the military into Mexico to stop the cartels and the "caravans", so much the better (imagine what I must have experienced here for you to hear this coming out of the mouth of a "progressive" Bernie Bro? Must've seen some shit, right?).
I did miss the traditional walk down Pennsylvania Ave. but considering both the cold and the two attempts on him, it was best for Trump to have it indoors. While he wasn't my chosen candidate (I wanted Bernie to make one more run at it), I do wish the new President well.
It's good to have somebody in there that actually cares about putting AMERICAN'S first, as opposed to acting as if he's the President of Europe or the Third World. We've got a whole raft of problems to solve right here at home, and its time we started tackling them with gusto. So hang on, the next four years are going to be wild!
