Having health problems šŸ˜Ŗ low blood pressure causing dizziness šŸ˜© šŸ’« šŸ˜¢

I've had my visit to the falls unit to check up on my dizzy spells. When I stand up I get really dizzy abs sometimes I think I'm going to pass out. I had a lay down to stand Blood Pressure check a few months ago, they found that when I stand up my Blood pressure drops quite a bit, they referred me to the falls unit.

My first appointment at the falls unit was a few months ago. They did tests on me where they took me through a few movements, this is to help with any wandering crystals that have escaped your ear, these help with your balance. After the first few exercises I felt so much better, I had good results but the dizziness was still there and over the last few weeks it's been getting worse, there have been a couple of times I nearly passed out whilst going around the supermarket.

Today's appointment I asked more about my Blood Pressure as nothing was being done about it. They decided to do the lay down to stand Blood Pressure check. I had to lay down for 5 minutes with the Blood pressure arm band attached to my arm, just before I stood up they took the first test which came back fine then whilst standing up they did another test where my Blood Pressure dropped by 41 points. The Dr said we usually get worried when it 20 points this is not right at 40 so has referred me to a specialist and a medication review as I do take a lot of tablets with a couple of them that lower Blood Pressure.

They couldn't do much more until I am seen by the specialist but was told to carry on wearing my compression socks plus gave me a couple of leaflets with one showing me how to do a exercise called Visual tracking that may help plus a tip that if I'm feeling dizzy with no support around to do a loud man's cough until I find a seat, this cough raises Blood pressure to the brain but can only be done for a short while plus a Postural Hyotension leaflet to read.

    POSTURAL HYPOTENSION LEAFLET

I have to do the Visual tracking exercise 3 times a day firstly against a plain wall then as It gets better to do it in front of a busier wall this helps the eyes focus better.

I hate standing up when I've been sitting for a while as I know what's going to happen, I have had to place a seat in the hall of my house so when I get up I can walk to the chair then sit for a little then carry on. I get scared when I feel it starting, My head starts floating my eyes blur then feel sick. It takes about 30 seconds to sort it out, those 30 seconds are very scary and seem to last a lot longer, luckly I have managed to not faint up to now. This holds me back quite a bit as I don't want to go out incase it happens, it's bad enough when it's happens at home.

    Thank you for visiting šŸ’ŸšŸ’Ÿ
