What is EDSvote?
Eds-vote is an account that people can delegate HIVE POWER to. In return for their delegation, they will receive EDS tokens each Monday.
The delegated HP will be used to curate content on HIVE and provide small upvotes for those that hold over 100 EDS tokens. Delegating HIVE POWER to @eds-vote will not result in an upvote. This is not a delegation to upvote service. It is a way to distribute the remaining reallocated EDS into circulation.
What are EDS tokens?
EDS tokens are HIVE income tokens that are pegged and backed to 1 HIVE each. They pay out weekly dividends every Monday based on 12% of the total powered-up HIVE balance of the @eddie-earner account. This is currently paying out an APY to token holders of roughly 35%.

Let's have a look at the numbers in chart form as this is the best way to see performance and predict the future.
Incoming delegations are up by around 3000 this week so it's been a good week. Im sure we'll dip next week, I can feel it in my bones. The crypto gods are not letting us pass 140k, they are laughing at us but persistence will pay off for us. We'll keep banging out these weekly reports and over time we'll pick up new EDSers along the way and grow.
Bad great this week, we finished at 7.94% just shy of our 8% benchmark. We've had 2 weeks of HP growth and the rewards we get this week are based on curation from 127k HP 8-14 days ago.
I'm pretty sure it'll be a much better week next week. We introduced a new delegation tier of 2500 HP to get the biggest upvote and long story short, our voting power percentage got hammered so I had to readjust the voting percentages to get it back to increasing. This will mean next weeks APY should be pretty good.
We did ok for curation rewards this week finishing over 200 HP. Because our incoming delegations have increased for 2 weeks, we can hope that we'll start to see a small increase.
We minted and issued over 100 EDS this week from @eds-vote, another great result in my books. To date, @eds-vote has helped to mint 3726.13 EDS in total to generous HP delegators.
hmmm,
Just looking at that number (3726) and it's equal to 7% of total EDS in circulation (53,300). Thats very interesting because @eds-vote is coming up to being 1 year old while EDS itself is around 4 years old and there was a 20k public sale equal to 37.5%. I would not have guessed that 7% of circulating EDS were minted from @eds-vote with it being under a year old.
I think I know something inside out and then I see something like this and it makes me think, hmmm, maybe I should push @eds-vote harder cause it's working perfectly. We get to mint new EDS, give out upvotes and boast the @eddie-earner HP balance which in turn increases the weekly EDS HIVE income pool.
My only regret about @eds-vote is we never released it 2 ago, lol. We could have minted maybe 15-20k by now.
Round-Up
Pretty good week, the voting power took a bashing but it's all good, we'll get good curation rewards next week. Apart from that, everything else is working as it should be and im as happy as a pig rolling around in a pile a crap.
