What are EDS tokens?
EDS tokens are HIVE income tokens that pays out weekly dividends every Monday based on 12% of the total power up the balance of the @eddie-earner account. This is currently paying out an APY to token holders of over 28%.
(Example of how the HIVE income pool is worked out)
- EDS is pegged to 1 HIVE per token
- 12% of over 104,000 HIVE POWER pays out (104,000*12/52.18) 240 per week
- EDS in circulation each yield (240/40,000) 0.006 HIVE per week
- 0.006 each week for 1 year (52.18) equals 0.31 HIVE
- 1 EDS pays out a HIVE income of roughly 31% per year
EDS tokens launched with a hardcap of 500,000 and a public sale of 20,000 tokens each issued for 1 HIVE each. There are 2 ways to mint new EDS tokens. 1 is by owning and staking either EDS miners (EDSM) are EDS mini miners (EDSMM) tokens and 2 is delegations HIVE POWER to @eds-vote. EDS Miners yield roughly 20% per year and EDS-vote yields around 4-5%.
EDS converts all earnings, airdrops, tribe tokens into HIVE. This account is 100% focused on powering up as much HIVE as possible. It's just that single-minded. This projects weekly saving club content is run by @shanibeer and wallet by @silverstackeruk both on behalf of SPinvest. This is a long term project and should be viewed as a token to stack up and HODL. Buy some miners, let them mint you some EDS tokens, build a pile and collect weekly HIVE dividends. In other words, buy some EDSM miners and forget about it. Add a few every week/month and watch your EDS pile grow. You can also buy EDS directly from the market, if you add a buy order for any amount at 1 HIVE each, it'll get filled. It might take a few days but it'll get filled as some miners like to sell their mining rewards right away to lock in them profits.

Let's get a look at the charts this week
We minted 431 EDS this week. Roughly 296 from EDS miners, 110 from @eds-vote and 23 from EDSD. I see eds-vote has increased by around 10k in incoming delegations and EDSD is still new so we could get to 500 a week in a few months. Sounds like alot to me but I remember EDS back when it had 20k circulation for a long time. It's small in the bigger picture, with 450k EDS still to mint, 500 per week is over 17 years of rewards. We might have to look into other ways to mint EDS, haha.
I dont think so but you know me by now, I'll get bored in 1-2 years and get an idea in my head. There's 180k allocated to eds-vote and EDSD and they mint 130 a week, 6800 a year which is 27 years of rewards. Ideally, I'd like these 180k minted in 10 years are under.
HP balance grew by over 300 this week which is awesome as always. This is equal to 15% growth and this time next year, we'll have a HP balance of at least 128k. We're starting to see in the chart that we can see growth each week instead if looking almost completely flat.
We had a nice growth this week and the HIVE income pool increased by 0.70 HIVE. This time last year when we sold out of EDS miners, the income pool was increasing by 30-35 cents per week so with the help of eds-vote and EDSD, we've been able to almost double that. The chart is the same the HP balance chart because the HIVE income pool is equal to a 12% APY of the HP balance. This is the reason why the HIVE income pool increases each week, the @eddie-earner HP balance goes up, never down. It'll only go down if the account is hacked 🫤
The EDS APY this week is 26.30%. The decline this week was 0.15% was in line with what it has been the past 3 weeks. My guess is we'll decline at 0.15% for the next 5-8 weeks and then it'll drop to 0.14% a week. It's a slow process and gets harder, and takes longer as we get closer to 0%. We'll stay on 0% for a few months at least and then the actual flip will happen when it starts to increase. When it does, it will be very slow but over time, lots of time it'll get faster and snowball and when EDS miners finish minting EDS and the token is hardcapped, it'll grow faster again. It's just all the waiting. We're what? 3 years in maybe.
How do you build a HIVE income that only ever increases over time?
If the EDS project sounds right up your street, there are 2 ways to get your hands on EDS tokens. Building a HIVE income is one of those things when it's better to get started sooner than later. We all put money aside for a pension/old age with the money we earn from jobs, why not do the same with blockchain earnings? If blockchain is the future, why not be playing the game of life 3 steps ahead of everyone else? There's no day like day to start increasing your income and the snowball effect is real when you have patience.
