Did you know that the value of semen has increased by 40% in the last 24 hours? I am just having fun, but when I looked at the top 100 list on CoinMarketCap and noticed a token named ONDO with a 40% increase in the last 24 hours (and knowing that ONDO means semen/sperm in Hungarian), I just had to laugh.
Anyway, the market has been positive and happy the last 24 hours, and much of the gains that were lost earlier this week is starting to return. Bitcoin is back at $67,000 and Ethereum above $3500. I guess people who sold the bottom yesterday are feeling quite bad right now.
The FED also reported yesterday that they wouldn't touch the interest rates in the United States right now, seeing that the inflation reports for January and February came out higher than expected. With the Dollar remaining with the same interest rates, the markets took a breather, and people focused on crypto again! :)
What is ONDO? What caused the price increase?
Ondo was the token of the day based on price movement on March 20 (but I am writing this article on March 21).
ONDO is a chain aiming to be a financial institution onchain. It is currently available on Mantle, Ethereum, and in parts on Solana. Currently, you can earn ONDO points for all sorts of activities, but it is still unclear what you can actually do with those points. They do not seem to be connected to airdrops, but to benefits you get within the community. If you have ever owned ONDO, USDY, or held USDC or USDT in a wallet on Ethereum in 2023, you might be eligible for ONDO points, so check it out... who knows, maybe it will be rewarding one day?
You can also earn points for holding mUSD on the Mantle blockchain, so there are many ways to earn those points. Just like I mentioned the MANTRA token a few days ago dealing with turned Real World Assets (RWA) to tokens and bring them onchain, this is one of several things that the Ondo Foundation aim to deal with.
