I made a Layer3 account few months ago for a quest and didn't use it much since then. However, my approach changed since they introduced the CUBEs as rewards for quests. CUBEs are unlocking token-rewarding quests and boosts for users, while unifying quest completion data on-chain.
Layer3 is the best place for web3 learning and discovery, offering achievements, varied rewards, increased gamification, social bounties, and now with the CUBEs integrations... maybe a potential airdrop! Why CUBEs are giving me airdrop vibes? Because they were presented as the key to the Layer3 economy, and because similar platforms already have tokens that power their ecosystem.

I started grinding my experience and noticed that CUBEs are easier to obtain through BASE quests. Maybe doing quests will tick boxes if Base will ever do a token? I transferred ETH from Optimism to Base and was no surprise that Across was the fastest route, offering the best return. We are talking about the cross-chain ecosystem’s optimal bridge design.

The funds reached Base in no time and my quest was completed. Got my first Layer3 CUBE, good chunk of experience, and hopefully enough on-chain activity in case $BASE or a Layer3 token will be launched in the future.
Ticking boxes for airdrops is a hard mission, and most times it involves repeated actions across several weeks or months. Another daily task is now added in my routine, as Layer3 has daily "GMs" that can unlock achievements. And so it begins...
I was serious when I said that Across is the cross-chain ecosystem’s optimal bridge design, with fastest route and best return. One of the Layer3 quests involved moving crypto through Interport, and it took 20 minutes to complete.
I moved few $MATIC from Polygon, swapping them on Horizen EON into $ZEN. It wasn't expensive but 20 minutes wait if far beyond what I am expecting in 2024. I am looking forward to Across V3 and intents-based transfers, as this would probably solve time-consuming bridging actions.
The Layer3 journey will continue for a while, completing the quests that require the minimal effort. I already earned my second CUBE, and unlocked a 2x boost for experience. I like that quests that are started and not finished will show up in the "pick up where you left off" section.
