The president's office said on the 2nd that it is "deeply regrettable" that the Democratic Party of Korea's handling of the "Special Prosecutor Act on Suspicion of External Pressure on Investigation into the Death of Corporal Chae in the Marine Corps" and that it has no choice but to say that it has a political intention other than finding out the truth. "It will remain a case that confuses the Republic of Korea," he said. "We will sternly respond in the future," hinting at President Yoon Suk Yeol's veto in the future.
"We are very sorry that the Democratic Party of Korea pushed ahead with the Special Investigation Act on Chae Sang-byung by changing the agenda at the plenary session of the National Assembly," Chief of Staff Jeong Jin-seok said in a briefing at the Presidential Office in Yongsan on the same day. "The fact that the ruling and opposition parties pushed ahead with the legislative rush even before the ink on the first page of cooperation dried up is a direct violation of the people's will and the people's strict order to work together to take care of the people's livelihood."
Director Chung also added, "Although the Public Prosecution Service (high-ranking public official's crime investigation office) and the police are already investigating in earnest, the opposition party's unilateral attempt to push ahead with an independent investigation has no choice but to have a different political intention than finding out the truth."
"At a time when people's expectations for cooperation are high due to the handling of the agreement between the ruling and opposition parties of the Itaewon Special Act following the receipt talks, the presidential office is seriously looking at the Democratic Party's unilateral legislative rush," Chung said.

I haven't appointed the director and deputy director for more than three months
You didn't allow me to play that role
The presidential office opposes the special prosecution because the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit is now investigating.

I'm not going to stop saying such ridiculous things
It's a shame that you're trying to move on.
