When applications look the same, the HR team will look out for such mistakes to rule out one candidate. So, be very careful about such details and make sure your application and resume are perfect.
Try to do internships in well-known companies and try to get some reviews from senior colleagues and post it on your LinkedIn profile. This will be viewed by prospective employers and it will make a huge difference.
Please do not try to act over-smart during interviews as it will put off the interviewer and they will reject you even before you reach the final round. Also, please do not get dejected even if you do not get accepted. There is always another job that may be just right for you.
Even if you are not interested in general knowledge, try to be aware of the world news. You never know what questions the interviewer might ask to test your knowledge.
A good profile picture does more good than you know. Make sure to get a good photograph and post it as a profile picture on your professional page.
If your interview is in person, dress for the occasion. A formal dress does speak a lot about your personality.
Last but not least, do not write about controversial topics on social media accounts. Not every employer might be passionate about such stuff and could reject you for such reasons.
