When I was asked to make an introduction, I honestly didn’t know where to begin. It was funny because it felt like I did not know who I was at all, but who cares anyway?
So well, Hello. I’m Gabbie. Not my real name, tho. I am fond of adventures, but mostly just around my house. I love kids, except the annoying ones. I like to sleep, grind, and cook. In fact, I’m a family chef—of my own family HAHAHA. I'm also a self-proclaimed Cinderella daughter, not because I dream of becoming a Disney princess, but because I have a knack for keeping things tidy at home.
An interesting fact about me is that I have been in a relationship for a decade. My partner is a Lit major, so I got hooked on reading books and watching movies. One thing I discovered about myself is that I enjoy musical theater. Before the pandemic, I was only forced by my mom to accompany her to watch Binondo, A Tsino Musical. After the show, I told myself, “It wasn’t that bad.” I even found myself singing one of the songs in Chinese because I was taking a Mandarin class that time and my professor always played that one particular song. After that, I began joining my mom’s group called Theater Buddies. Phantom of the Opera was spectacular, but Mamma Mia is my favorite.

It is very interesting to me how one thing can completely flip your perspective on life. I am not saying that Broadway is the reason why I am a different person from who I was back then, but it certainly helped me realize that I should be more open-minded. Go outside the box and throw that damn box! Since then, I tried eating macaroni salad even though I hated them when I was younger and never considered them as part of the salad family, but now it’s one of my midnight cravings. Same with crocs, now, it is the only comfortable shoes I wear. I don’t know why I despised them before.
I decided to never go back to the rat race—that miserable daily grind—after graduating XX years ago. I've been switching careers ever since, trying my hand at different kinds of jobs and picking up new skills as they come along.
Cons: No stable income
Pros: More time to sleep
Sometimes you just have to do what feels right, even though it might not be the best move in the current economic situation. I mean, who am I to question the heart?
But life’s been good despite being a multifaceted worker. I have traveled to several countries now and will be manifesting for more in the future. During my stay in those countries, I wish I could spend more time with the people I met and experience living with them. If only I had the money, I would like to go around the world and do volunteer work or be a cab driver. Who knows?
Oh, by the way, I like taking photos too! (But not a great one, don’t get your hopes up.) So if you know of any community in photography, let me know.
As I am about to end my introduction, I am still having a dilemma. What if this is the first and last entry I am going to post? What content should I write next? Well, I am not good at writing; in fact, I hate it because I always get lost in my own thoughts.
Have I ever attempted to put my thoughts aside?
-Yes, I have.
Did it work?
-Nope. Never!
My brain never stops. My thoughts are endless…
I can talk about anything and everything! (or not?)
