I had noticed on the poinsettia on the dining room table that it had flowered again a while back. When I was doing the seedlings on Friday morning, I found something I’d never seen before. The poinsettia had a seed!
So I looked a little more closely and sure enough, the other blossom had a seed too.
I’d decided to move the seedlings back onto the porch as I would not be doing stock until next week, if then. I will need a night in the 30’s when it has finished cooking, to cool it down.
The onions are doing very well, as is the kale. The other things are doing ok, so far.
So the lights are back on the porch, on left, kale on bottom, celery on top.
I got the laundry finished and put away and a friend brought me to exercise class and back. I was not feeling so good before I left, and was definitely worse when I got home. So I laid down for a while, ate lunch, and waited for the Senior van to bring me to the Young People Chorus at the Senior Center.
It never showed up so I went and dozed on the couch for the afternoon. I just didn’t feel very well. This happens often, with chronic Lyme disease.
I had really been pushing my luck with the birdfeeders. I knew there were bears active in my area. I’d finally fed out the last of the seed. So I decided maybe going outside in the sun (that we weren’t supposed to have) might make me feel better.
I got the feeders down and then went to get the ladder. I had to clean up the alcove in the wood shed where it’s stored, as people have been throwing things in there.
I got the rope down and everything put where it goes. The birdfeeders are in the clean room as they need to be washed up before being put away.
I still didn’t feel very well so I ate supper early, got the chores done, and went to bed.
On Saturday my general helper will be here at 8AM to get shelving and lights up for the seed starting on Monday. In the afternoon my brother and I are having a making devils eggs party. That ought to finish me off for the day.
