Last weekend I had the good fortune to be able to visit a good friend that was visiting Seattle and go see a Kraken hockey game with him.
The Kraken play at Climate Pledge arena, which is right next to the Space Needle. Recently the arena went through a 2+ year overhaul and I've heard nothing but good things about it.
Something I found really cool was that you can see inside from the outside.
We had a good view of the ice but it felt weird to me sitting under this overhang.
They played the New York Rangers, a team that has a bunch of good players, one superstar, and a two time Stanley Cup winning goalie, Johnathan Quick 😃
Quick won two Stanley Cups with the LA Kings, one in 2012 and one in 2014. In 2012 the Kings beat the New Jersey Devils and Johnathan Quick was the playoff MVP.
Tonight at the game he was also the MVP, shutting out the middling Kraken.
The Kraken fans were meh as well, and the home arena named opposing team players the top two stars of the game. It's going to be a ling year Kraken fans xD
