Hi friends,
I am on the fence about getting a set of new irons for my golf bag. I am playing the TaylorMade R7s, which are fairly old now, but there isn’t anything wrong with them.
I went the other day to the golf shop and hit a few different irons, but none really felt great. I also wasn’t hitting them as far as my current irons and I didn’t feel they wear spinning enough to give me stopping power on the green.
I am not torn - if my old clubs are still working well, do I need to spend the $,$$$ on new irons if they are about the same? I do want to look the part when I am playing with friends/business acquaintances/charity events and, in theory, technology should be better.
I think I need more data - I am going to research launch monitors so I can get definitive stats on my current clubs then compare them to some new sets.
To be continued…
Any advice?
Thanks for coming by,
Brian
