TRADITIONAL FLAVORS IN COM NHA BONG RESTAURANT

Today, I had the chance to visit "Com Nha Bong” with my sister , this is a humble rice restaurant in Ha Dong, Hanoi, and I was truly impressed by the space and the food here. If you're tired of snack foods or fast food and craving the flavors of the countryside, this place is definitely a great choice.

The restaurant has a simple, traditional Vietnamese décor with wooden tables and chairs, lotus patterns, and photos of rustic dishes that are very appealing. The photos of countryside meals hung on the walls made me feel so nostalgic, like I was transported back to a cozy family meal.

As for the food, the restaurant offers a variety of traditional rustic dishes, perfect for those who want to savor the tastes of home. Here's a list of the dishes I tried:

    • Stir-fried water spinach
    • Long beans
    • Chayote stir-fried
    • Stir-fried cabbage
    • Chayote
    • Bitter melon
    • Stir-fried bamboo shoots
    • Vegetables with braised pork

In addition to these, the restaurant serves many classic Vietnamese soups, such as:

    Bitter melon soup with shrimp
    Sour vegetable soup with pork
Sour vegetable soup with pork bones
    Minced pork sour soup
    Gourd soup with shrimp
    Cabbage soup with minced pork
    Pork bone soup with cabbage
    Pork bone soup with pumpkin
    Moringa soup with crab
    Sour mustard greens soup
    Clam sour soup
The restaurant also offers meal combos at a very reasonable price. Each combo includes about 8 dishes, including rice, dessert, and main courses. If you're dining alone or want to save, the combo is a great option because it fills you up without having too much leftover food.
I ordered a combo that included:

Grilled minced pork wrapped in betel leaves

Stir-fried green cabbage with minced pork
    Fried tofu with onion
    Pickled sour cucumber
    Vegetable soup with minced pork

Overall, these are all very familiar, easy-to-eat dishes that you’d find in a typical Vietnamese family meal. If I were to cook all this at home, it would probably cost around $6, but at the restaurant, I paid about $15 for the whole combo. While it’s a bit pricier than cooking at home, I still think it’s worth it because the food is delicious and clean. The flavors of the dishes are very similar to how my mom would cook at home, yummy and good!

What I liked most about eating at the restaurant was that I didn’t have to worry about washing dishes or cooking. I just paid for the meal and enjoyed being served. Lately, I’ve been so busy and don’t have time to cook, so this was a perfect choice. The restaurant has a simple, comfortable atmosphere, ideal for anyone who wants a tasty meal without any fuss.

"Com Nha Bong" restaurant is a great place for anyone looking to enjoy a delicious, authentic Vietnamese meal that’s both tasty and time-saving. I’ll definitely be back when I get the chance!
