The weather since Saturday has been absolutely amazing to the point I have actually been going out everyday. Of course it was to play Pokemon Go with my son but It was enjoyable. A bit windy but nothing I couldn't handle.
It was when I got back home that I would start feeling funky. Have you ever had a sinus infection? Your face feels twice its actual size. At least that it what it feels like to me.
Anyway. I went to the store yesterday to pick some things up while playing a little Pokemon go. It was a bit hazy and I figured we were just having a dust storm because of the wind.
I walked into the thrift store looking around for anything new that I could make use of and hoping I could find some electronics equipment. I'd had the idea earlier in the morning to make my own Swiffer like pads and was wondering what fabric to use.
Before walking out I asked one of the employees and she suggested swaddling blankets. I told her I had not seen any in years so she walked me back to where they were.
They were tagged at .65¢ a piece but I got a senior discount and only ended up paying .25¢ a piece. My first time and it feels kinda cool. I may be considered a senior because of my age but I feel far from old.
The next step was to figure out how in the world I was going to attach the pads to the mop head. I started thinking and realized I still have some clothes that are now too small for my son I could harvest elastic from.
Now all I have to do is measure and sew the pads. Hopefully this will be much quicker then the cleaning I was taught as a teen.
More to come on this. I will take pictures of the process for a post another day. Thanks for reading and drop comments below. Let's exchange some ideas.
