Crochet Summer Wide Brim Hat

This project was 2 years ago since I made a draft that I wasn't able to publish. Yet, I'm still happy to share this with you.

    2yrs Ago POV.

What's on my mind lately? It's all about pending crochet stuff and other personal agendas. Well today, I am going to share this Crocheted Bucket Hat.

It's been 2 months that I spent on this project along with some trouble with the color, the materials, and with the pattern that I had used before I came to finish the hat.

The client requested a hat that is exactly similar to the image below.

I did some research before making this one. I felt so challenged because of having limited resources (as for me). I know some people who know how to do this will say that it's easy. Well, we all have a different coping mechanism and I respect that.

These were the materials that I had used.

    • Mustard Yellow Indo Yarn
    • Army Green Spun Poly Yarn
    • Army Green Milk Cotton Yarn
    • 3 hook sizes (2mm - 3.5mm)
    • Tapestry
    • Scissor
    • and a fabric glue

Having to start this from scratch, the measurement that was given to me is my greatest weakness as a crocheter. But I am still learning, we all are. Let's dive in with every small progress.

This was the first 3 weeks and a half of my progress as I had too many difficulties. One of them is my schedule. Second, was the brim part that isn't wide enough, so I did redo it countless times.

Yeah as you can see I did redo that part, the brim. However, I did not have the time to get photographs of my last revision. As soon as the brim got wider I was so satisfied and changed the yarn color from mustard to green yarn. The green yarn seems to be dark, but it's just about the poor lighting and camera resolution.

I even brought it to my workplace and did that green part during my break time or lunchtime.

As I was getting the green part done. I was wearing it, while I was looking through the tutorial that I found on YouTube.

Adding a flower to this bucket hat was my favorite thing it emphasized the detail of my handmade product.

The finished product is made with love. Bare with my camera's quality.

That's All and thank you for spending reading it.
