Just came back from watching Deadpool and Wolverine! I’d probably give it a 7.5 or 8 out of 10, definitely recommend going in without watching trailers or any of that stuff, there were a lot of fun surprises in there that I didn’t expect, and it’s definitely up your alley if you’ve been enjoying the marvel movies in my opinion. Humor was surprisingly much better than the last two films so kudos to them for that, action and computer-generated imagery was great, and I thought the soundtrack meshed well with everything.
It did feel very fan-servicey so the story did suffer a bit at times, but overall it was pretty good
theres's been a lot of talk online about whether this is the movie that will “save” the Marvel Cinematic Universe and my thoughts on that are maybe but it was also never meant to do that in the first place. Also wolvie and deadpool were great together. Aside from that I am looking forward to seeing how the mcu tackles the xmen cause it really seems like that is the direction they are going towards, and honestly they have to. I think the next avengers films (secret wars) are going to lean into the angle of seeing what happens when the world of the avengers meets the world of the xmen and ofc the fantastic four.
