Hoy os presento otra de las cerveceras que fui a visitar en mi viaje a Bristol. Se trata de New Bristol Brewey y al igual que ocurre con otra de las que os enseñé anteriormente (Whiper And True), nunca había visto nada de ellos ni en España ni en Europa. Parece ser que la gran apuesta de los bares y restaurantes de Bristol por la cerveza local colma todas las producciones de dichas cerveceras. Es una gozada ver como entras a cualquier restaurante, bar o cafetería y en todas ellas tienes cinco o seis grifos con cervezas artesanas locales. Nad que ver con lo que pasa en España.
Volviendo a la cervecera, el local tiene mucho estilo, decorado con gusto y con los fermentadores de fondo, algo que a mí me encanta. Veinte grifos a tu disposición y un par de neveras colmadas de sus productos. Muy buena música, pantallas gigantes para disfrutar de eventos deportivos y una cocina especializada en el pollo realmente sabrosa.
La verdad es que hecho de menos estos conceptos en mi ciudad y en España en general, únicamente Barcelona y San Sebastian llegan a ofrecerte algo parecido. Ojalá cambie la cosa, pero en un país como en el nuestro, la cultura del vino, mucho más extendida, sigue dominado sobre la cerveza.
Today I present to you another of the breweries that I went to visit on my trip to Bristol. This is New Bristol Brewey and as with another one I showed you previously (Whiper And True), I had never seen anything from them either in Spain or in Europe. It seems that the great commitment of Bristol's bars and restaurants to local beer fills all the productions of these breweries. It is a joy to see how you walk into any restaurant, bar or cafe and in all of them you have five or six taps with local craft beers. It has nothing to do with what happens in Spain.
Returning to the brewery, the place has a lot of style, tastefully decorated and with the fermenters in the background, something that I love. Twenty taps at your disposal and a couple of refrigerators filled with their products. Very good music, giant screens to enjoy sporting events and a kitchen specialized in really tasty chicken.
The truth is that I miss these concepts in my city and in Spain in general, only Barcelona and San Sebastian offer you something similar. I hope things change, but in a country like ours, the wine culture, much more widespread, continues to dominate beer.
