Oh we do love a pickup here at Planetauto! They are just so versatile 😊 and one of our favourites has to be the D-Max from Isuzu – it ticks so many boxes…and if you’ve ever been behind the wheel of one, then you’ll know how versatile and powerful they are.
So – how do you improve on what is already a winning formula? Introducing the Mudmaster. It’s based on Isuzu’s V-Cross D-Max, this is more than just a workhorse – it’s a lifestyle vehicle, fully equipped to take you off road.
As the V-Cross is already a very well equipped pickup – think USB ports, a reversing camera, dual zone climate control – you take all this, and crank it! Adding a snorkel, winch, and a Pedders suspension kit, and all terrain tyres on larger wheels, and voila! You have the Mudmaster.
With its underbody protection, you have peace of mind when you take it off roading – add to this the Mudmaster’s heavy duty vinyl mats and custom fitted seat covers, and you are ready to take on the muddiest trails and rockiest tracks. This is where the 1.9L turbo diesel engine and its 359 Nm’s of torque comes into play. Built to conquer mountains and riverbeds, the Mudmaster is an off roading beast.
It also takes the worry out of extreme terrains too, with those extra grippy tyres that and extra ground clearance - add to this the winch and snorkel too, and you’ve got all your bases covered.
Although the Mudmaster is a significant investment, it’s quite reasonable when you look at what you get for the money. With the precision engineering involved in adapting the V-Cross, it’s peace of mind that you’re getting. You will be paying around an extra £14,000.00 for the Mudmaster upgrades, taking the price to around just under £63,000.00.
Now, as you can see from the video, we loved the Mudmaster, and didn't want to give it back! We can see where the value lies in having the additions, so it would be good to know what you think of it - and if you've driven one!
Thank you all, and enjoy!
Annabelle 😊
