✨ What Did I Learn About Bees? ✨
I came across an article on Learning English by VOA that talked about an amazing study conducted by researchers at Michigan State University.
According to their findings, bees have such a strong sense of smell that they can detect chemical changes in the environment, including the smell of cancer in human breath! 🐝
🔍 The Science Behind It
The researchers discovered that bees use their antennae (the structures on their heads that act as noses) to sense chemicals. This sense of smell is so advanced that bees can even identify lung cancer from a patient's breath.
Debajit Saha, an assistant professor of biomedical engineering and part of the research team, explained:
"Our world is visual, but insects’ world is all based on smell. Their sense of smell is very, very good." 🧠✨
