A work of art by the painter Christian Morgenstern (1805 - 1867) can be seen here and already at a young age he visited a workshop and decided to concentrate on the technique of etching. Already in his youth he was extremely enthusiastic about art and he even had the opportunity to accompany the painter Cornelius Suhr (1781 - 1857) on his travels where he received numerous advice for art, which should be very formative of his later years. Later he went to Russia for a few years where he received lessons in painting and his particular interest was to present natural sceneries and today he is considered an important representative of realism. His artistic skills spread quickly and he even got a scholarship and he moved to Scandinavian countries and even the Danish royal family became aware of him, which decided to promote him and commission him to create some works of art. A few years later he went to Germany near Munich and began to be very interested in culture in addition to painting and he visited some old buildings such as castles in his spare time, which resulted that he incorporated these influences into his paintings and he made some contacts with other painters in Germany and moved around a lot in artistic circles. He liked to seek advice from other artists and was considered a relatively open and diverse personality and also liked to travel to Switzerland, Italy, the Netherlands or Austria which also inspired him very much for his painting and when it comes to art he has made a huge name for himself and his passion for art comes into its own very well in this landscape. I particularly like in this work of art how he managed to create the right depth and also by choosing the right colors as well as exposure, the work creates a rather cozy atmosphere and the artist has also attached importance to the right details as you can also see with the two ducks who swim comfortably in the bog.
