Great reed warbler showing off its beauty

in birdphotography •  3 months ago

Reed warblers live near the water in the reed and from time to time they show up on top of a reedling where I can take some pictures of them. But I know also times when I waited several hours only listening to their voice without them showing up and only hiding in the reed a bit away. Probably the best time for some bird photography of the common reed warbler is spring time, during the mating time of these birds. Since this is a good time I managed to take these pictures of the bird. Usually their sound is heard near lakes and wetlands with a lot of reed. At the flooding plains of the Inn River in Upper Austria I was also able to find this bird.
