Here you can see some pictures of different types of minerals and I would like to specifically address the psychological side of alchemy and go into a little more detail about the Anima and Animus. When it comes to the spiritual development of the own self, the subconscious plays an important role and the Anima abd Animus were specially shaped by the founder of analytical psychology Carl Gustav Jung (1875 - 1961) and these are two of the most important elements of the collective subconscious and they are the two parts that have the greatest influence on our subconscious. The collective subconscious is also regarded as a spiritual level in which subconscious experiences which are often associated and linked to the original principles of all people and it is also often regarded as an whole structure and is considered one of the deepest points of the subconscious. The terms Anima and Animus come from Latin and stand for our soul and the two principles were often linked with opposite effects from a symbolic point of view and Anima was often associated with the female principles while Animus stands for the male and at its core it can also be associated with duality of shifting emotions. In relation to the psyche, it is associated with the unconscious and conscious thoughts of the counterpart and it is shaped by collective subconscious by the different mother or father aspects which are anchored in the original principles and it is also often associated with the return to old cultures, mythology or spiritual thoughts. The understanding of both aspects is important for the view of the whole and for the spiritual development of alchemy, it is important to see this duality and connect it with own memories to understand the inner sides of the hidden self and to look at it with clarity and these insights are an important step towards enlightenment. This way of thinking and the reflection with oneself to strive at the higher self can also be put into context with the well-known sentence solve et coagula, which means to dissolve and coagulate.
